RideLab
A roper leaning out of the saddle mid-swing in a dirt arena, with a trainer's red ring drawn around the seat and a note about sitting down.

Your ride, marked up by a working trainer.

Send a ride to a trainer, a run to a judge, or book a live lesson. Every note lands on the exact second it happened.

1 credit = $1. No subscription required.

What comes back

Not a thumbs up and a paragraph. The trainer talks over your ride, draws on the frame, and pins every note to the second it happened. When something is easier to show, they film a reply instead.

  1. 0:12

Seat gets behind the motion at the lope departure.

  2. 0:42

Inside leg comes off before the turn. Keep it on through the corner.

  3. 1:30

Good stop. Hands stayed quiet, keep that.

Summary, written after the session

Departures are the thing to work on this week. Sit down a beat before you ask, and keep the inside leg on until the horse is through the turn. Stops are good. Do not change them.

Every critique stays in your account with its summary and transcript. For 30 days your trainer can add free follow-ups.

How a critique works

Your trainer has 48 hours to accept and three days to send it back. If they pass, every credit comes back. A live lesson happens whenever you both have an hour.

  1. Film the ride

From the rail, the fence, or a friend with a phone. Upload it or record in the app. Any arena, any discipline, no special gear.

  2. Pick a trainer

Browse by discipline and price. Send it to one trainer or up to ten, and talk over the ride first if you want them to look at something.

  3. They work through it

The trainer plays, pauses, draws, and talks over your video like they were standing beside you, or films a reply that shows you how.

  4. Read the summary

A written recap and transcript tie every note to its moment. Got a question about one? Ask it right there, with a tip.

What else riders get

The critique is the center of it. These are the parts riders use around it, all in the app today.

Send it to more than one
Send one ride to as many as ten trainers, or one run to five judges, and compare what each of them sees.
Talk over your own ride
Record a voice over before you send it, so the trainer hears what you felt and what you want looked at.
Replies on video
When a fix is easier to show than to say, the trainer can film a reply of their own: a demo, a drill, or a word to camera.
Free follow-ups
For 30 days after delivery your trainer can add follow-up takes on the same ride, each on a different problem, at no charge to you.
Ask about a moment
Pin a question to a second in the video and add a tip. If it goes unanswered for 7 days, the tip comes back.
Pinch to zoom
Zoom in on a hand or a heel on the critique replay, on your own rides, and on the request screen.
Go live with your own coach
Your trainer is not on RideLab yet? Text or email them a link, add an offer if you like, and go live anyway.
Lessons you can watch back
Live lessons are recorded, so the lesson is still there the next time you ride.
Monthly plans
Some trainers and judges sell a monthly plan. Anything the plan covers costs you nothing extra.
Every critique in one place
Critiques and judged runs grouped by month, searchable by ride, horse, pro or class.
A profile for each horse
Tag every ride with the horse and filter your history the same way.
Uploads that keep going
Big files pick up where they stopped after a dropped signal, and on iPhone the upload finishes with the app closed.

Judged runs

Send a run, get a real score.

A carded judge scores your show run or a practice run of your pattern on a real scoresheet and talks through it over the video. You get the total, every line on the sheet, and the review.

1 credit = $1

One credit is one dollar. You see the price before you spend one.

Trainers and judges set their own prices, and every one is on their profile before you book. Buy credits in packs and use them whenever. Credits you buy do not expire, and no subscription is required.
