These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RideLab, operated by Capped Out Media, LLC ("RideLab," "we," "us"). By creating an account, browsing the trainer directory, buying credits, or using the app in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use RideLab.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are between 13 and 17, a parent or legal guardian must create the account or verify consent for it, and that guardian can review or delete the account's data at any time by contacting privacy@ridelab.ai. You must be 18 or older to apply as a trainer, to purchase credits, or to book a live session as the account holder. We may ask for proof of age or guardian consent at any time and suspend accounts where we cannot verify it.
2. What RideLab is
RideLab is a marketplace that connects riders with independent horse trainers for two things: a talked through critique of an uploaded ride video, and live video coaching sessions. We are not a riding school, not a veterinary service, and not a party to the coaching relationship between a rider and a trainer beyond providing the platform, payment processing, and support.
Trainers are independent
Trainers on RideLab are independent business owners, not employees, agents, or partners of Capped Out Media, LLC. They set their own prices within the bands we publish, choose which requests to accept, and are solely responsible for the coaching advice they give. We do not supervise lessons, verify credentials beyond what a trainer self-reports (and, where noted on a profile, a background check), or guarantee any trainer's skill, availability, or conduct.
No professional, veterinary, or medical advice
Nothing on RideLab, including a trainer's spoken critique, a live session, or an AI-generated synopsis, is veterinary, medical, or professional advice. If your horse is injured, lame, sick, or in distress, contact a licensed veterinarian. If you are injured, get medical care. Trainer feedback is instructional opinion only.
Riding is dangerous
Working with horses carries a real risk of serious injury or death to riders, handlers, and bystanders, regardless of the horse's training or the rider's skill. You use RideLab and act on any coaching you receive through it entirely at your own risk. Wear appropriate safety gear, ride within your ability, and use good judgment about when a maneuver a trainer suggests is safe for you and your horse in the moment.
No guaranteed results
We do not promise that any critique, live session, or training plan will improve your riding, fix a problem with your horse, or produce any particular outcome. Results depend on you, your horse, and factors outside our control.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away at support@ridelab.ai if you think your account has been compromised. One person per account; account sharing is not allowed.
4. Credits
RideLab runs on credits. One credit equals one U.S. dollar of value inside the platform. Credits are purchased in packs, are not legal tender, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be redeemed for cash except as a refund under this section or applicable law. Promotional or bonus credits may carry their own expiration date, shown at the time they are granted; paid credits do not expire while your account is active and in good standing. Unspent credits from a deleted or permanently suspended account are forfeited, except where required by law.
Refunds of credits are issued only: when a critique expires without delivery, when a trainer declines a request, per the live-session cancellation policy below, when we cancel or remove a listing for cause, or when required by law or a payment network's rules. Outside of those cases, credit purchases are final.
5. Video critiques
When you request a critique, the trainer has 48 hours to accept or decline. If they do not respond in that window, the request expires automatically and your credits are refunded in full. Once accepted, the trainer has 72 hours to deliver a recorded critique. If they miss that window, the request expires and your credits are refunded automatically, no request needed. You may send the same video to more than one trainer and compare their critiques.
6. Live sessions
Live sessions are booked in 15, 30, or 60 minute blocks against a trainer's posted availability, or instantly where a trainer has turned on instant booking. Our cancellation policy:
- Cancel 24 hours or more before the start time: full refund.
- Cancel less than 24 hours before the start time: 50% refund.
- Rider does not show up: no refund.
- Trainer does not show up: full refund, automatically.
A no-show is measured after a short grace period shown in the booking details. Repeated no-shows on either side may lead to account restrictions.
7. Recording and AI-generated summaries
Critiques and live sessions on RideLab are recorded, and the audio is transcribed by automated speech-to-text systems so we can generate a written synopsis. By requesting a critique or joining a live session, you consent to that recording and transcription, for yourself and for anyone else you allow into the session on your side (for example, a parent watching a lesson). The AI-generated synopsis is a summary for your convenience only; it is not a verbatim transcript, may contain errors, and is not a substitute for watching or listening to the original recording. A trainer may edit the synopsis after it is generated.
8. Trainer payouts
For every credit a rider spends on a trainer's critiques and sessions, the trainer receives the trainer share and RideLab keeps the remainder as its platform fee. The trainer share in effect is published to trainers inside the app when they set their prices and again on each earnings statement, and the share in effect when a booking is paid governs that booking (an individual trainer's share may differ if we have agreed to a different rate with them in writing). Earnings become available for payout after a short hold period shown in the trainer dashboard, and are paid out through Stripe Connect once the trainer's balance clears our minimum payout threshold. Trainers are responsible for their own taxes; Stripe issues Form 1099-K where required by law based on payment volume.
9. Content you upload
You keep ownership of the ride videos, photos, and other content you upload. By uploading, you grant RideLab a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transcode, and display that content as needed to operate the service, including sharing a video with the trainer(s) you request a critique from. You confirm you have the right to upload the content and that it does not violate anyone else's rights.
10. Prohibited conduct
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive behavior toward another user.
- Uploading content that depicts animal abuse or neglect.
- Circumventing the platform to pay a trainer directly for services first arranged here.
- Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service.
- Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your credentials as a trainer.
- Using the service for anything illegal.
Violating any of these may result in suspension or termination of your account without a refund of forfeited credits, except where the law requires otherwise.
11. Featured Trainer badge
Trainers can pay for a "Featured Trainer" badge that gives their profile more visibility in search and browse results. It is a paid placement, clearly labeled "Sponsored" wherever it appears, and it never changes a trainer's rating, review count, or the order of their real reviews.
12. Chargebacks
If you have a billing problem, contact support@ridelab.ai first. We resolve the large majority of disputes directly and quickly. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting us is a material breach of these Terms. If that happens, we may suspend or terminate your account and you will owe us the disputed amount plus any chargeback, processing, or collection fees we incur as a result.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
RIDELAB IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY TRAINER'S ADVICE WILL BE ACCURATE, SAFE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOU OR YOUR HORSE.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CAPPED OUT MEDIA, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY TRAINER'S ADVICE OR CONDUCT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Capped Out Media, LLC and its officers, employees, and contractors from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with another user or their horse.
16. Arbitration agreement
You and Capped Out Media, LLC agree to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service through binding, confidential arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, seated in Salt Lake City, Utah, governed by the Federal Arbitration Act. The arbitrator's decision is final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction. This agreement does not apply to small claims court actions or to injunctive relief for intellectual property infringement.
Opt-out: you can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@ridelab.ai within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, from the email address on your account, stating that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
17. Class action and jury trial waiver
You and Capped Out Media, LLC each agree to bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. Both parties waive any right to a jury trial. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) may proceed in court, and the rest of this arbitration agreement still applies to everything else.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of laws rules, except where the Federal Arbitration Act applies to Section 16.
19. App store purchases
If you buy credits through the Apple App Store or Google Play, that purchase is also governed by the respective store's terms, and refunds for those purchases follow the store's own refund process and rules, not the credit refund policy in Section 4.
20. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate an account for violating these Terms, fraud, chargeback abuse, or risk to other users or their horses. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (credits already forfeited under these Terms, arbitration, liability limits, indemnification) do survive.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will post the updated date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use RideLab after a change takes effect means you accept the update.
